Happier Centers are physical and/or virtual places dedicated to helping people understand, pursue, and attain life’s ultimate currency—happiness. They serve forward the abundance of knowledge—both theory and practice—that makes up the field of happiness studies.
A Happier Center can be a place where a handful of individuals meet once a week and all the way up to a retreat center offering programs around the clock. It can exist within a business and serve the employees, as part of a school and serve staff and students, or as part of a community and serve all. Regardless of its dimension and location, a Happier Center can help both inform and transform, educate and elevate.
Happier Centers are led by graduates of the Certificate in Happiness Studies and offer various programs, including but not limited to:
- Live or pre-recorded lectures followed by discussion
- Experiential workshops
- Films followed by conversation
- Reading groups
- Exercise groups
- Sharing and caring dialogues
- Edutaining games
Subject matter includes but is not limited to:
- The pursuit of happiness
- The happy pursuit of personal and professional success
- Healthy relationships at home and at work
- Nutrition and exercise
- Resilience and overcoming hardship
- Dealing with stress
- Appreciating and savoring life
Graduates of the Certificate in Happiness Studies running these centers receive ongoing support from the Happiness Studies Academy, in the form of pre-recorded lectures, workshops content, film and book recommendations with questions for discussion, pre-recorded guided meditation sessions, access to a helpline, and more. Most importantly, leaders of Happier Centers will be linked together, and share material and experiences with other members of the network.
Create a Happier Center, in your home, your workplace, or your neighborhood, and help to inform and transform yourself and your community!
