One Punch Man (2009) Saitama only became a hero for fun, but after three years of “special” training, he finds that he can beat even the mightiest opponents with a single punch. Though he faces new enemies every day, it turns out being devastatingly powerful is actually kind of a bore. Can a hero be too strong? One Punch Man is a manga primarily about the importance of kindness, no matter what else one is/does/becomes. Genos tries to learn from Saitama even after he realizes that his strength is unattainable, because he recognizes in Saitama a counterpoint to his own violence and hatred.

Spirituality and Happiness: A Neuroscientific Perspective by Rajesh Arora Spiritual practices yield numerous benefits, fostering a serene mind and holistic health. Neuroscience explores spirituality's effects on brain function, utilizing advanced imaging like fMRI, SPECT, and PET. These technologies illuminate the intricate links between spirituality, happiness, and well-being. Research reveals how spiritual practices induce neuroplasticity, enhancing specific brain functions. Spirituality aids stress management and cultivates happiness, influenced by genetic and epigenetic factors. It offers cognitive training potential for military personnel and astronauts. Amid COVID-19, spirituality fosters resilience. Future prospects include using artificial intelligence to enhance happiness through neural network modulation. Despite challenges, spirituality offers universal contentment and happiness. Neurobiological Basis: The article explores the neurobiological mechanisms underlying the connection between spirituality and happiness. It discusses how brain regions associated with spirituality, such as the prefrontal cortex and limbic system, interact with those involved in happiness, such as the ventral striatum and anterior cingulate cortex.

Can the Mind Heal the Body? by Deepak Chopra It is standard medicine that mental states can affect physical states. That's how placebos work—when sham drugs improve health, working by inducing the body to generate hormones. But some claim that the mind goes even further in healing the body, operating through consciousness in some nonphysical manner. A 9:00 min video

Alquimia Emocional, el arte de transformar la adversidad en oro para tu crecimiento de Sandy Mora “There is light at the end of the tunnel. Sandy Mora provides a compelling, inspiring and practical guide to resilience and personal growth.” - Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, New York Times bestselling author of "Happier". Co-founder of Happiness Studies Academy. An Emotional Alchemist is he who discovers how to transform problems into opportunities and pain into growth, using life’s crisis as catapults for their potential. If you are going through a crisis or adverse moment in your life and are looking for tools to overcome it, if you are still experiencing emotional suffering from a past loss, or are on the brink of an important life change, this book is a guide that will help you get through those challenges in a more positive and healthy way. This is an authentic, endearing and charming book in which the author shows herself human and vulnerable, speaking from the heart about what she has experienced in her own skin, understanding grief, loss, sickness, divorce, being broken and crisis with a clear mind observant of itself. The main question that the author presents: How can I stop suffering and start living with joy despite the “bad” things that happen in my life? Is answered throughout this book. Sandy proposes a formula and gives us the tools to make it happen.

The Mindful Life: How Our Thoughts Shape our Health and Happiness

Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don't Know by Adam Grant Organizational psychologist Adam Grant is an expert on opening other people's minds, examines the critical art of rethinking: learning to question your opinions and open other people's minds, which can position you for excellence at work and wisdom in life. Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In our daily lives, too many of us favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt. We listen to opinions that make us feel good, instead of ideas that make us think hard. We see disagreement as a threat to our egos, rather than an opportunity to learn. We surround ourselves with people who agree with our conclusions, when we should be gravitating toward those who challenge our thought process. The result is that our beliefs get brittle long before our bones. We think too much like preachers defending our sacred beliefs, prosecutors proving the other side wrong, and politicians campaigning for approval - and too little like scientists searching for truth. Intelligence is no cure, and it can even be a curse: being good at thinking can make us worse at rethinking. The brighter we are, the blinder to our own limitations we can become.

The association between spirituality and religiousness and mental health. By Luciano Magalhães Vitorino This study explores how different levels of spirituality and religiousness (S/R) among Brazilian adults relate to well-being indicators. Findings suggest that higher levels of both spirituality and religiousness are associated with better outcomes compared to lower levels or singular emphasis on either dimension. Our note: This research investigates the link between spirituality, religiousness, and well-being in Brazilian adults, highlighting the significance of considering both dimensions for optimal mental health. By categorizing participants into distinct S/R groups, the study underscores the nuanced relationship between these factors and various aspects of well-being. These insights contribute to a deeper understanding of holistic well-being promotion.

The driving mindsets of innovation: curiosity, creativity and clarity Purpose Innovation is an essential process for growth and well-being of organisations and society in general but is difficult to manage successfully. Through a better understanding of the innovation mindsets as established strategists use them in practice, this paper aims to improve firms’ success rates of innovation. Design/methodology/approach To examine how innovation processes play out in dynamic environments, the authors undertook a longitudinal two-year multi-case study in the high-tech sector. Findings Strategists in this study showed distinct phases in their successful innovation journey with three dominant mindsets of curiosity, creativity and clarity. The curiosity phase includes actions focused on discovering and understanding the implications and significance of an opportunity. The creativity phase includes actions focused on creating and testing a wide range of options. The clarity phase consists of actions focused on resourcing and implementing change. Practical implications In adopting this framework for use in the field, the authors recommend strategists take time for discovering and getting to core understanding in the curiosity phase. They should then take action by creating and actively testing a broad range of solution ideas in the creativity phase. Finally, organisations need to take care with clear direction and communication when resourcing and implementing in the clarity phase. Originality/value This novel framework which emerged from the longitudinal field research describes the mindsets of innovation and how these are used at different phases in the innovation process.
